Homeownership Program

Together, we are building Boise through shelter.

Providing opporunities for affordable homeownership through critical home repairs

Homeownership program.

Habitat for Humanity is a homeownership program that empowers families to build a new life for themselves through the stability and security of owning their own home. Habitat homes are not given away, but are sold to families who qualify, are willing to put in hundreds of hours of labor (called Partnership Hours), and are able to make a monthly mortgage payment. Habitat homes are affordable because Habitat does not make a profit; homes are sold with a no-interest loan, and are built mostly by volunteers. Selected families are partners in every sense of the word. They contribute between 300-500 hours of labor building their own home and the homes of other Habitat families. Homebuyers also participate in classes to prepare them for homeownership.

Applications for the Habitat program will be available from Jan 31, 2022 through Feb 11, 2022.

To Submit Application: Applications must be delivered to the Habitat office at 704 S. Latah St. between February 7, 2022 and February 18, 2022 during office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm) or after a Program Orientation Meeting. Submit your application as early as possible in case you need time to provide any missing items. No applications will be accepted after the February 18, 2022 deadline.
