Faith Community

“I see life as both a gift and a responsibility. My responsibility is to use what God has given me to help His people in need.”

—Millard Fuller, Co-Founder, Habitat for Humanity

Seeking to put God’s love into action, Boise Valley Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.

As an ecumenical Christian housing ministry, Habitat was founded upon the principle that people of all faiths should be provided an opportunity to live in a decent and affordable home. We welcome people of all backgrounds, races, and religions to build and repair houses together in partnership with families in need. From these partnerships, a network of lasting friendships and a sense of community is created.

How to Support Our Mission

Faith Community Graphic
  • Remembering Habitat's mission, our families, volunteers, and staff in your prayers.
  • Inviting a Habitat representative to speak to your congregation or community group.
  • Supporting Habitat's ongoing mission by organizing volunteers to work on a Habitat house or Repairs job.
  • Providing hospitality (i.e. meals, drinks, prayer support) for the volunteers on a worksite.
  • Including Habitat in your church or community group’s mission budget by donating to help provide simple, decent, and affordable housing.

There are many opportunities for faith and community groups to become involved with us. You can also provide volunteers for the office, ReStore, or one of our committees. Youth groups can participate or volunteer in any of our annual fundraisers. Opportunities are limited for youths on our worksites, please contact us for details.

Contact us if you would like to discuss ways for your faith group to get involved, or to schedule a speaker.
